Opened in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo in 1928.
It is a long-established sushi restaurant that has been operating in Ichibancho, Sendai’s representative downtown area, since 1946.
Here we introduce the charm of Tachibana and other information about the restaurant.

The traditional taste that has been preserved since the establishment of the restaurant lives on in the standard nigiri and sashimi.
On the other hand, the sushi rolls and the aburi-zushi featuring beef, which are described in horizontal characters on the menu, are also worth trying at least once.
Recommended is the new specialty “Sendai Zuke-don," in which sushi chefs from Miyagi Prefecture each compete with their own specialties.
At this restaurant, 16 kinds of seafood from the Sanriku region, carefully selected by the chef, are beautifully arranged in a special dipping sauce with Sendai miso as a secret ingredient.
It is a work of confidence named “Goku".

The interior is an amazingly sophisticated world of modern Japanese style.
You can enjoy the taste of a long-established restaurant with beautifully prepared dishes while listening to the background jazz music quietly playing in the restaurant.
The restaurant offers not only counter and table seating, but also five private rooms, each with a different atmosphere.
Especially popular is the “Aerial Zashiki Mokuren," a private room with a great view.
All rooms have sunken kotatsu-style seats and are barrier-free.
This is a perfect place for business entertainment and for entertaining important guests.

Review by Tachibana

  • Ootoro, chutoro (medium fatty tuna), unotan (sea urchin), button prawn, conger eel, etc., all matched with sake and were superb. I was satisfied.
  • Five pieces of nigiri. Tuna, squid, salmon, shrimp, and egg. All were delicious.
  • The main ingredients are seasonal white fish and Miyagi rice, and the secret ingredient is Sendai miso, a rich and savory miso that is used by our sushi chefs.
